Svoe Rodnoe
Product job
This App allows to order farm products with delivery throughout Russia from 5000 farmers. It is a unique marketplace designed for buyers
and farmers. The platform contains a mobile App and a web version for farmers, with which farmers can upload their products and manage sales.
Description
The design team consisted of 4 people:team leader, lead designer and 2 product designers. I was in the role of a product designer. I've been working on the App and the web version for buyers. The Russian Agricultural Bank has a common design system for most products.
That's why we used the bank's design system. But when developing any new product, each team supplemented the design system
with the necessary components, and the development team implemented the design system at the front.
While working on the project, I managed to completely rework user scenarios for ordering farm products in the App, workout joint purchases, implement recipes for cooking, think over the design for booking agrotours, and also implement a bank product "Harvest"
to receive bonuses from the bank.
Bank Cashback program "Harvest"
The task was to implement the bank's bonus system into Svoe Rodnoe App. With each purchase the client receives cashback, which he can spend not only in Svoe Rodnoe App but also in other products of the bank.
We have created and implemented this functionality in the order process. The interface offers new customers to open a card and receive cashback from each purchase. For current customers, the interface is designed to display the balance of points and the ability to spend them on purchases.
Reviews
The functionality of reviews of good sand farmers has been developed. Advantages and disadvantages are offered depending
on the product category. You can rate a product or a farmer only after at least one order of this product has been made.
It is planned to add the ability to attach text reviews, photos and videos in the next MVPs.
Agrotours
Agrotours — short trips around farms.Users can order an agrotour directly in the App or on the website, view reviews, route and location, choose the most profitable option. In the firstMVP, the booking of the tour is carried out by sending name and phone number. In the future,
it is planned to be able to choose dates and the number of people and also expand tour programs.
Recipes
The task was to think out the structure of the recipes, to make the interface as flexible and suitable as possible for any recipe, as well
as to enable the user to place an order for products directly from the recipe. During the work on the task, several universal components
of the design system were assembled and user scenarios were thought out taking into account business requirements, due to which
it is not always possible to order products from 1 farmer.
Acquiring
For a long time, third-party acquiring was used in the Native application. We received a task from the business to implement its own acquiring. The design had to be created in such a way that the screens could be reused in other products of the bank. The web version
was also worked out individually.
Change of address
We have researched the logic of changing the address in the App and added the ability to create more than one address.
The solution was developed using already existing components.
Joint purchases
This is a wide functionality that required redesign of many screens, restructure of the cart and the logic of ordering products from
a certain farmer.
Firstly, the team and I decided to interview potential users and find out their needs. According to the results of research, we learned
that most users experience a number of problems:
Buyer
The minimum cost of a cart of any farmer is expensive, but the choice is often not diverse
The cost of delivery is high along with the minimum order amount
Farm products are perishable, so it is difficult to pick up the minimum cost of the cart
It is not possible to make a joint purchase
for several people
Farmer
There is no way to make the minimum order amount cheaper, as it is unprofitable
Due to the minimum order amount, the number
of buyers is low
Delivery is a large part of the costs that are not covered even by the price for the customer
After the research, we decided to draw the scenarios directly on paper, because the potential process looked very complicated
even for experienced colleagues.
There are a few of those sketches that were drawn below.
After drawing the sketches, we started working on prototypes for the next study.
We have invited a small focus group of 10 people. Each of them was interviewed individually with a large list of questions. We received feedback and completed the prototypes. The approval process was difficult, as the scenarios were voluminous and required a large number of improvements on the back-end.
As a result, it was possible to coordinate the scenarios, but with reduced functionality. There are the layouts that were prepared
for MVP 1 below.
Finally
During the work on the product, I managed to conduct several large qualitative studies, rework key scenarios in the App and expand
the existing functionality. Additionally, more than 50 new components were added to the common design system and many
old components were updated.
